Pictured from left to right: Nina, Mary, Gia, and Galina on ESL Carnival Academy Day! ESL Carnival Academy hit the road to deliver ESL lessons at a cafe in Las Vegas Nevada this past Saturday. It was a wonderful start to teaching English in French cafes, in American coffee houses, and in Japanese "Tea Pot & Social Houses." The latter is the location for the next meeting stated for March 14th at the Tea Pot & Social House in Henderson.
It's interesting in that we believe that total language immersion is the best way to improve your English, however, if it isn't the prime time for you to travel abroad we have an answer. You can immerse yourself in English and in international culture right in your own backyard. In the case for this past weekend, you can immerse yourself in the southeastern Europe's Bulgarian culture. If you live in the Nevada area, you're free to join the Las Vegas/Henderson ESL Group via ESL Carnival Academy. See here on information of how to join. By: George Ivanov Hello! My name is George Ivanov and I am from Moscow, Russia. In this essay I will tell you the ways in which Russian students can speak English better. I will also explain to you some tools that you can use to help improve your English. Some of the ways you can improve your English is by: 1) Practicing 2-3 times a week with a tutor at ESL Carnival Academy 2) Practice you English on www.English-Test.net 3) Practice the best English game ever: “Warhammer 40,000” (Each army has his own RULE book that you're able to translate. When you complete the translation you'll have a great book that has 500 translated pages). 4) Practice your English by playing English video game like "Destiny." 5) Practice to use your Russian Google translator often You will ask me: How can I learn English George? In fact, I have learned how to speak English in many ways, but one of them is the one I like the most of all. I will tell you about it in a few moments. One way you can learn English better is to have a personal tutor from the USA, UK or another native English speaking country. My Teacher Gia is from USA. We have lessons three times a week. I love learning English with a private tutor. This is really what’s interesting: we can go to different websites and I can take online tests and quizzes. So, I have a very good teacher. A second way to learn is through a personal tutor who teaches English but is from Russia. My Russian’s teacher’s name was Mr. Bob. His teaching style was very boring, but it produced results. I had lessons for 5 years, so I know English very well. A third way to learn English better is by taking a class at a school like “Language Link.” That was “not bad and not good.” But I don’t like it, I HATE it. I prefer the first two ways. So you can choose the right way for you. What about the tools for learning English? (Join ESL CARNIVAL ACADEMY TO READ MORE) ![]() Welcome to the ESL Carnival Academy Literary Magazine.
