Thank-You for Supporting the Arts!
ESL Carnival
We are an American ESL firm specializing in promoting the arts in the international classroom in combination with sending ESL teachers to teach abroad. We find that many great ESL instructors are also wonderful artists wishing to explore ways in which to promote paintings, drawings, sculptures and digital works. The goal is to enjoy the benefits of having and celebrating an international gallery illustrating a teacher's work while teaching English as a Second Language.
International Art Galleries Exist
Have you ever wondered how you could easily and economically open a simple art gallery abroad? It more than likely could come into fruition by having ESL Carnival assist you in locating an ESL institute or foreign university also wishing to explore international art, (in it's many forms). At current we are contacting schools wishing to align themselves with our mission.
We seek great fine artists who just happen to also be great ESL teachers and promote these artists/teachers to talk about the visual concepts of illustrating art into the classroom. If you are a fine artist, (we would initially like to display your work on our website), as we continue to connect with schools wishing to strongly embrace international art. Interested? If yes - submit a sample of your artwork to us.
What would be most discerning? ESL Carnival asserting our mission by allowing the schools a view of the wonderful array of fine artists ready to explore the idea of an international art exhibit. What an excellent combination! (promoting your artwork via a gallery display as apart of your teaching abroad assignment).
Why Promote the Arts Abroad?
Did you know that historically that great communities are born and survive daily by inviting, restoring, and maintaining art in their communities? From Manhattan, New York to small town, USA, communities are enticingly beautiful and structured to visually please because of the arts. Great American towns have civic and opera houses, art museums and parks that have a yearly summer concert menu. While sculptures of Picasso in Chicago rein silent as they visually define the magnificent city with art history that defines decades of our lives. Great cities thrive as vibrant oil paintings align carefully manicured gardens adjacent to art galleries, transit areas or a nearby piano house.
As an ESL Instructor in 2005, I realized the importance of incorporating culture into learning English and wrote an article detailing this for China Daily Newspaper, and I also incorporated the fine arts into the classroom with ideas taken directly from my article. I discovered that my university level students were able to learn English better and faster by embracing American culture.
If you are a strong advocate for the fine arts and are looking for a way to incorporate 'the significance of the arts in learning', we are interested in promoting your artwork on our website. Along with being an artist, we would like for you to explore the wonderful world of ESL teaching. ESL Carnival's mission is to invigorate non-native speaking English students while maintaining the corelation of English language, culture, and the infinite worlds of international art.
Which schools are interested in displaying art at an international gallery?
Teaching in exotic locales like Costa Rica, Chile, the Caribbean, or China is just that - exotic. If you are an ESL teacher and artist with work to display at the university level, please contact us so that we can display your works of art on our website while at the same time working to fine just the right foreign school with an empty art gallery.
Opportunities exists for all native speaking English teachers in the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, or Canada.
